At the TCA General Meeting on Tuesday 12 July, Tom Alletson, Waterways Program Leader, Tweed Shire Council will provide an update to residents on the pontoon proposal to replace the existing wooden jetty.  The jetty is adjacent to the boat ramp in the commercial centre of the village.  The boat ramp was installed during the time when the ferry operated on the river, to enable boats to be launched.

Residents are invited to voice any comments, recommendations or concerns they may have about the proposed replacement.  General Store owner Geoff Butterworth has been invited to present the two pontoon proposals he has developed.

Tweed Shire Council successfully applied for NSW Government funding for 8 Tweed projects, including $60,000 for the replacement of Tumbulgum’s existing timber jetty – like for like.

Public pontoon located at Faith Bandler Park opposite Tumbulgum Tavern.
