Tumbulgum 150 Years & 2016 Tweed River Festival
Join Us at The Junction of the Tweed and Rous Rivers, to celebrate 150 years at Tumbulgum.
We’re bringing the 2016 Tweed River Festival to Tumbulgum. The Entertainment Program is packed full of great local artists performing on the main stage, in the Tumbulgum Hall, at Living Waters Church and along the riverbank, all FREE to the community!
Tumbulgum Community Association will present a display of historic images in the hall from 10am.
There’ll be street performers Hoopla Circus and Roving Butterflies, face painting, balloon artists, weaving workshops by Helle Jorgensen, 19th Century Survival Skills demonstrations by Owen, a guided Heritage Trail through the Village, river cruises with Mt Warning Tours and Endeavour Cruises, lantern workshop, and much more.
The village’s four great eateries, Tumbulgum Tavern, Birdwing Cafe, House of Gabriel and The Bearded Baker, will be open during the day. We encourage visitors to contact businesses directly for their hours and bookings.
More food and beverage vendors will add to the flavour of the day: Dave’s Sugar Cane Juice, Flat Earth Organic Kombucha, JuJu’s, Crabbes Creek Wood Fired Pizza, Gopal’s Gourmet, Tumbulgum Rangers Sports Club, Living Waters Church, Northern Rivers Water Ski Club, Dungay Public School P&C.
